SpecialtyVenetian plaster, limewash, and decorative textures by trained specialty finishers.
Specialty finishes turn a plain wall into the focal point of a room. We apply limewash, Venetian plaster, color wash, and metallic finishes over properly prepared and primed walls.
Every specialty job starts with a sample board in your own lighting, so you approve the exact depth, movement, and sheen before we touch the wall. What you sign off on is what goes up.
The difference is in the prep. Plaster and limewash show every flaw underneath, so we level the substrate, prime it, and protect the room before the first pass. Where the wall needs to be cleaned, we seal it.
On-site assessment
We walk the room with you, measure, note problem areas, and confirm the finish you want.
Written proposal
You get a line-item estimate with products, prep scope, and a firm schedule. No surprises.
Protect & prepare
We mask and cover, then patch, sand, and prime so the finish bonds properly.
Apply & inspect
The finish goes on in full passes, then we walk it with you and correct anything before we call it done.
What a specialty finish includes
A feature wall or a full room, every finish job covers the steps below at one quoted price.

Sample boards first
You approve the depth, movement, and sheen on a board in your own lighting before we touch the wall.

Limewash on brick
Mineral limewash softens a brick fireplace or exterior while the texture of the brick still shows.

Wall leveled and primed
Cracks filled, patches feathered, and the surface primed so plaster and limewash bond evenly.

Room protected
Floors covered and furniture moved before any plaster is mixed or troweled.

Clean edges at trim
Crisp lines where the finish meets baseboards, casings, and the ceiling.

Sealed and walked through
A clear topcoat where the wall needs to be wiped clean, then a final walkthrough together.
Need more than a feature wall?
Wallpaper removal, popcorn ceiling removal, and interior painting for the rest of the room can be added to a finish project. Tell us the scope and we will fold it into one estimate.
Colors that suit limewash and plaster
Limewash and plaster add their own movement, so soft, chalky neutrals do most of the work. One deep color earns its keep in a small room.
A textured finish reads lighter and softer than the same color in flat paint. The trowel marks and brush movement catch light and throw small shadows, so a chip that looks too gray on the card often looks right on the wall. That is why we work from sample boards, not chips.
Pick one finish and let it lead. A single plaster or limewash wall looks deliberate when the rest of the room stays quiet in a matching flat color. Deep tones like bronze work best in a powder room or study, where the movement in the finish gives a dark wall depth instead of weight.

Rooms and walls where a finish earns its place
A specialty finish works best on one wall people actually look at. These are the spots we suggest it most on a walkthrough.
A dining room that feels flat
Low, warm evening light is where the movement in limewash and plaster shows best.
A brick fireplace that dates the room
Limewash calms red or orange brick without hiding the texture the way solid paint does.
The entry or stair wall
It is the first wall guests see, and a tall surface gives a finish room to move.
A small powder room
A small room is a low-risk place to go bold, and sealed plaster stands up to hand washing.
Older walls that never sat flat
Limewash is forgiving of gentle waves that flat paint would show in raking light.
Most single feature walls take two to three days, including cure time between passes. If you change your mind later, the wall is skim sanded, primed, and painted like any other. Call (678) 737-6776 to talk through a wall you have in mind.
