Stain tones are chosen from the manufacturer’s deck at the estimate. These paint colors suit the parts of a deck that hold paint.
Tie the painted parts to the house, not to the stain. White railings read crisp against a warm brown deck and match most trim. Posts and fascia look best a step darker than the railings, close to the body color of the house.
Skirting and lattice sit low and catch splashback and red clay. A dark color hides that and makes the deck look grounded. A pale blue on the porch ceiling keeps the space bright and is a long tradition on Southern porches. We brush samples on site and check them in morning and afternoon light.
