Brick has to breathe. Standard house paint traps moisture inside the masonry and causes spalling, so we use breathable mineral or elastomeric masonry coatings made for the substrate, over brick that has been washed, treated, and repaired first.
Surfaces are washed, efflorescence is neutralized, and failed mortar is repointed before any coating goes on. That prep is what makes a masonry finish last.
If you are not ready to commit to solid paint, we also offer limewash and mineral stains. They change the color while letting more of the brick show through, and they are easier to live with if you change your mind later.

Colors that work on brick
Painted brick looks best in soft whites and warm grays that let the texture do the work. These colors suit painted brick and masonry.
Brick texture breaks up color. Every mortar joint and rough face casts a small shadow, so a white reads softer and a gray reads darker than it does on a smooth chip. We brush samples on the actual wall and check them in sun and in shade before you pick.
Stark bright whites can look flat and chalky on brick. A white with a little warmth keeps the wall from glaring and sits better next to a brown or gray roof. Keep the dark color for the shutters and the door, where it frames the brick instead of covering it.

White salt bloom
A chalky white haze pushing through the paint is efflorescence. Water is moving through the brick and carrying salts out.
